On the remote coastline of Australia's northwest, there are great natural wonders to be found. Above the sea on this sun-baked coast, there is very little, but each year, mysterious ocean visitors arrive. The biggest fish in the sea, the whale shark, vanishes almost as soon as they arrive, but what brings them to this place at all?

The degradation of food-falls at the bottom of the ocean can create partially chemosynthetic environments. In the case of sunken whale carcasses (whale falls), the supply of organic material supports an ecological succession of communities. But perhaps less well-documented than the scavengers at whale-falls are the creatures that rely on wood instead. When trees become uprooted by storms or ships capsize at sea, losing their buoyancy as the pressure of the ocean forces out any air trapped within, bits of wood sink to the ocean floor where they create fleeting oases of life (wood falls), including shipwrecks, like that of the Titanic. The scarcity of food in parts of the deep ocean creates an environment where very little goes to waste. The animal and microbial life that dwells down here has become resourceful, able to make the most of even unexpected resources. So it comes as no surprise that the deep ocean hosts complex biological communities adapted to thrive on this sunken wood. The Australian desert is home to some of the most deadly animals in the world. In this Real Wild documentary, we explore how animals live in the high heated Australian outback. The famous marsupial kangaroo along with lizards, camels, and wild horses are among these animals. We also see how the bush operates and struggles in the extreme heat, which often leads to uncontrollable fires. The Australian red desert is named this due to the rocks containing high amounts of iron. In this type of environment, these rocks actually begin to rust. As the rust expands, it weakens the rock and helps break it apart. The oxides produced through this process give the ground its reddish hue.

He pushed a Prussian army back at the Battle of Ligny on 15 June 1815, and three days later attacked an Anglo-Allied force led by the Duke of Wellington near the village of Waterloo.
