How Free Documentary Vault uses third-party content
The website primarily organizes, links to, and embeds documentary videos hosted by platforms such as YouTube. We generally do not host underlying video files.
Before submitting a notice
If a video is hosted on YouTube or another platform, a rights holder may also need to contact the hosting platform, uploader, publisher, or distributor. Removing a Free Documentary Vault page or embed does not remove the original hosted video.
We can review concerns involving an embed, link, thumbnail, original written content, incorrect attribution, search result, or category listing on this website.
Information required in a copyright notice

How to submit a notice
Use the secure form on the Contact page, select “Copyright question,” and provide the information listed above. Messages are delivered to Contact@freedocumentaryvault.com.
What happens after a complete notice is received
We may review the page, request information, correct attribution, remove or disable an embed, link, or image, contact the publisher, temporarily restrict a page, preserve necessary review information, or reject incomplete, fraudulent, or unrelated notices. No fixed response time is promised.
Counter-notices and disputes
An affected party may be permitted to provide information supporting authorization. We do not describe a formal United States DMCA counter-notice process without appropriate legal guidance and do not state that Free Documentary Vault has a registered United States DMCA agent.
Misrepresentation
Knowingly false or misleading claims may have legal consequences. A notice should be submitted only by a rights holder or an authorized representative.
Repeat concerns
We may remove or restrict publishers, sources, or pages associated with repeated substantiated copyright concerns.
Privacy
Information submitted through the contact form is handled according to the Privacy Policy.
