Ruth has been selected for the competing team within the club “Twisters”. At first she is lost, physically skilled yet struggling with the choreography and being a newbie. We see her grow from the challenge and within the coming months her team will make it to the national championships. Ruth’s mother and father are ambivalent to her choice of sport. They believe that she should follow her dreams - but why the bows on her head and the constructed smile in front of the judges? Her mother truly thinks it’s diminishing the extreme efforts and physical strength of the girls in the troupe. But Ruth is standing up to her choices, no matter.
