About Why Ancient Egyptians Believed Pharaohs Were Gods | Ancient Egypt Documentary

Gods and Kings rule over ancient Egypt. They are omnipresent, leading the country into deep crises and to unimagined greatness. Episode 2 of the documentary series tells their story. Around 5000 years ago, the Egyptians created the first state in history. A great empire on the Nile, which could only be held together by the just rule of the pharaoh and the belief in a common world of gods. Researchers list 31 pharaonic dynasties and over 1500 gods and goddesses. For 3,000 years, they ensured consistency so that the people on the Nile would prosper. Until the empire perished with Cleopatra, the last pharaoh. Yet, Ancient Egypt leaves behind much more than magnificent temples and impressive pyramids. Some inventions or ideas are cornerstones of state and society even today. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. How a Dying Sahara Gave Birth to Ancient Egypt

The Nile is Egypt’s lifeline. Its water transforms parched soils into productive farmland. The first houses and settlements are built from its mud. Yet, how did it all begin? From 5000 BC, desert nomads began to settle in the Nile Valley. Instead of wandering around as hunter-gatherers, they now practice agriculture and animal husbandry. The foundations for Egyptian civilization. As early as the 1st Dynasty, the land along the Nile is divided into smaller administrative units. But Egyptian administration would not have worked without another groundbreaking invention - writing - in the form of elaborately painted hieroglyphics. Yet, the pride and joy of the Egyptians is the Nile. It’s the country's most important trade route. Without this river, one of the most fascinating advanced civilizations in history would never have existed. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. This Ancient Drinking Horn Reveals Spain's Apex Predators

Over one hundred years ago, a humble shepherd named Inathio Lucas carved a remarkable bestiary into a simple drinking horn while watching over his animals in the mountains of Spain. Through simple line drawings carved with a pocket knife, he documented over fifteen wild and domestic species that shared his everyday environment. This documentary explores those very animals, tracking the lives of Iberian wolves hunting in small packs, red deer fighting brutal battles during the autumn rut, and stealthy nocturnal predators like the genet, pine marten, and golden eagle. From the armored wild boar roaming dense oak forests to mother bears protecting young cubs from dangerous rivals, this journey bridges the gap between human history and the untamed wilderness of the Iberian Peninsula. The Moche Mystery: How a Mega El Niño Devastated an Ancient Civilization

The Moche flourished in a narrow strip between the Pacific Ocean and the Andres mountains of Peru for 650 years (100-750 AD). Sometimes referred to as the 'Greeks of the Andes', the Moche may have founded the first South American state. Their culture was contemporary with the Nazca civilisation but through conquest and expansion they were able to accumulate the wealth and power necessary to become the most important pre-Incan culture. Despite desert conditions, they created a prosperous agricultural civilisation: their engineers building canals up to 32 km long to irrigate the land. Their temples and monuments include enormous pyramid mounds which dominate the landscape to this day. But their society is short-lived and around the 6th century AD, the Moche succumb to a series of disasters that lead to the end of their culture. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
