In this video, we test a trebuchet against a medieval longbow, as History Hit teams up with Tod's Workshop and professional archer Joe Gibbs for a unique shootout. In their latest historic challenge, Luke Tomes and Louee Dessent find out whether a siege weapon can possibly match a longbow for accuracy over 140m. Who will win the battle of medieval missiles? For this competition, Tod’s team built us our very own fortification made out of wooden pallets, with a garrison of plywood knights. We assigned a score to each of the defenders, with the ‘king’ in the middle being the most valuable target. But would the trebuchet or the longbow be able to hit the king at long range?
