About Transylvania’s Bear Crisis: When Europe’s Largest Predator Comes To Town | Full Wildlife Documentary

Deep in the Transylvanian forests, an ancient Bear Cult has survived. Here, Europe’s greatest land predator is a symbol of rebirth in the New Year. Modern Romania has not lost its fascination with bears. It peaked under Ceausescu, in a breeding programme designed to satisfy the dictator’s hunting obsession. His regime is now history, but the bears are still there; and with ever-increasing numbers, conflict is unavoidable. Romania has more bears than any other European country: over 6,000! We follow a female bear and her three cubs as they move from the mountains to become “problem bears” in the town. Three Romanians show, in their different ways, the country’s ambivalent attitude to bears. Follow shepherd Petre Clem, activist Laura Niculescu and the ranger Bogdan Sulica. They all have their own solutions to the same problem. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. Deep within northern Australia lies a vast stretch of tropical rainforest that has survived for over one hundred million years. The Daintree National Park preserves a unique sanctuary where ancient flowering plants, deadly saltwater crocodiles, and rare cassowaries continue to thrive against all odds. Scientists explore this dense ecosystem using converted construction cranes, traveling high above the ground to reach hidden canopy zones where countless undiscovered species reside. Life in this remote wilderness demands total adaptation from both wildlife and humans. Local caretakers hand-rear orphaned tree kangaroos, while researchers dodge painful stinging trees and track how environmental shifts impact the balance of the ecosystem.
