About Russia's Wars - Russian Federation
After the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Gorbachev tries desperately to keep on top of events. But in 1991 the Soviet Union is disbanded. Russia’s wars continue after the end of the Soviet Union in 1991 and under Boris Jelzin’s reign. In 2000 Wladimir Putin becomes President of the Russian Federation. Now the army regains its force and momentum. Putin’s vision is to revive the Romanov and the Stalinist Empire. His wars in Georgia, Tchetchnia and Ukraine betray the cunning spirit of a secret service man, always ready to lay the blame on Western liberal states. In 2014 Ukraine faces civil unrest under pro-Russian President Yanukovych, who is forced to resign. Putin seizes the opportunity to invade the Crimean and have pro-Russian separatists declare independence of two provinces in Eastern Ukraine – only to attack Ukraine eight years later. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
