About Phantoms of Evolution - The Unknown Underwater Predators | Free Documentary Nature

Phantoms of Evolution - The Unknown Underwater Predators | Wildlife Documentary With the aid of modern technology, we reveal the unknown behaviour of some unusual species of sharks: lemon sharks and their white-tip reef counterparts. Our film trip begins on the Bahamas. To be more precise: in the turquoise-blue waters of the Grand Bahama Bank, in an exactly fixed location. In spring, 70 - 80 pregnant lemon sharks arrive here. This huge shark population was first discovered just a few years ago by shark researcher, Professor Sam Gruber. Many of the females are tired and rest on the seabed. Pregnant tiger sharks swim in the midst of this group. Without any protection whatsoever, our cameramen shoot their footage, surrounded by sharks and succeed in capturing images hitherto unseen. We continue our journey to Gainesville, Florida, to meet Gordon Hubbell, the leading shark denture expert with the world’s largest shark denture collection. He knows everything about the evolutionary history of the lemon sharks, in addition to those of the white-tip reef variety off Cocos Island, Costa Rica. Here, we encounter large

Jaguar vs. Caiman: Wildlife Encounters | Wildlife Documentary Whenever humans enter the wilderness – no matter if they are scientists, cameramen or just outdoor fans – they will face unforgettable encounters: the discovery of new species in the jungles of New Guinea, the scary moments when a group of white sharks surround a diving team off the coast of South Africa and the dedicated work of wildlife warriors who try to save jaguars and gorillas to name a few. Underwater Volcanoes - Oases of the Sea | Free Documentary Nature

Underwater Volcanoes - Oases of the Sea | Ocean Documentary Countless marine animals frolic on the steep slopes of underwater volcanoes. In many cases, several are rare species not found elsewhere. This is in part due to the fact that plankton clings to the wall and provides the fish with food in abundance. This documentary shows several of these oases and also examines the impact dive tourism has and whether preventive measures can help to maintain them. Nature and underwater filmmaker Rolf Möltgen undertakes dives into the mysterious underwater mountain landscapes with marine scientists from all corners of the globe. This journey takes us to Mexico, to snappers, white-tip reef sharks, Galapagos sharks and giant mantas. We visit the Maldives, Colombia and Costa Rica, where the team documents rare species such as deep sea burbots, small tooth sand tiger and dogfish sharks, in depths of more than 300 metres. The eerie underwater mountain world proves: everyone plays a part in the network of life. Thanks to consistent protective regulations, it has been possible to retain the underwater diversity - especially

Family Spirit: The African Golden Wolf | Free Wildlife Documentary NOTE: This documentary was filmed and produced in 2008. Since then a series of analyses on the species' mitochondrial DNA and nuclear genome have revealed, that the previously thougt African variant of the Golden Jackal is actually distinct from it and is more closely related to the gray wolf and the coyote. Subsequently it is now known as the African golden wolf (Canis lupaster). Please excuse the outdated informations stated in this documentary. This film follows the lives of some of Africa’s smartest and most sociable animals, two families of golden jackals living in Tanzania’s spectacular Serengeti Plains. These animal characters are possibly the most endearing killers you’re ever likely to meet. The events of their lives in just one breeding season are full of drama, comedy, tragedy and tenderness. Jackals live in a nuclear family and they mate for life. Our two Jackal families are neighbors on the Short Grass plains between Naabi Hill & the Gol Kopjes. The “Gol” pair Storm & Zabar have three young pups just

Ravens - Intelligent Rascals of the Skies | Free Wildlife Documentary Hardly any other species of bird has preoccupied mankind quite as much as corvids. They are exceptionally curious, teachable and intelligent birds. Ravens are the only birds that not only use tools, but also make them themselves. Many live in close, social structures and remain with one partner throughout their lives. This HD production presents many new and fascinating insights into the world of corvids: Alpine choughs in the winter world of the high mountains, rook colonies in towns, or the small, intelligent jackdaw, jays, hooded crows and of course, the king of the corvids, the northern raven. The raven is not just the world's largest songbird, but increasingly continues to surprise science due to its extraordinary intelligence. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bring high-class documentaries to you on the original video platform for free.
