“We’re Being Driven Out” | A Community Divided by Migration

In the heart of Sheffield’s Page Hall, a community is struggling with poverty, housing insecurity and growing tensions over migration. Long-term residents say they no longer recognise the area they once called home, with some claiming they are being pushed out as the neighbourhood changes around them. But behind the heated debate are deeply personal stories of hardship, survival and the search for belonging. The documentary follows Joanne, a pregnant young woman living in desperate conditions and fighting to find a safe home before her baby arrives. As she struggles with homelessness, addiction and the fear of losing her child, the people around her face difficult questions about family, responsibility and the future. From outspoken residents demanding change to migrant families building new lives, this powerful documentary explores the divisions, frustrations and human stories behind one of Britain’s most controversial debates.
