About Joseph Stalin: The Dictator Who Killed Millions

For 30 years Joseph Stalin “the man of steel” ruthlessly dominated the Soviet Union. Born into poverty on the fringes of the Czarist Russian Empire, he became a gangster and then a revolutionary. Under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin he was part of the original Bolshevik leadership team, but when Lenin died he took his chance to grab the top spot. Nothing and no-one would stop him. His quest for absolute power transformed his nation, but at a brutal cost. His tools for advancement were famine, slavery and execution: so many millions died to secure his power that he can be accused of genocide. Friends and enemies alike would be executed so that Stalin might become all-powerful. Using terror and sophisticated propaganda to promote himself, Stalin made himself into a communist God, and condemned his people to live in fear for decades. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. How Gaddafi Became The World's Most Dangerous Dictator

Throughout the course of history, there have been many viciously cruel dictators, but few as deranged as Muammar Gaddafi, the man President Reagan dubs The Mad Dog of the Middle East. For over 40 years the Libyan despot terrifies, tortures and tricks the world with one horrific act after another. This is the story of Colonel Gaddafi, the Middle East’s longest serving dictator from his roots as an idealistic young revolutionary in 1969, to becoming one of the world’s most deadly terrorists. Mixing dramatic reconstruction with archive and testimony, this film shows how his quest to be taken seriously as an international statesman drives him to commit increasingly insane atrocities at home and abroad. It explains how he ends up an international pariah and reveals how his delusions of grandeur will lead to his downfall in 2011. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. Thirty Years of War in God’s Name I SLICE HISTORY

In 1979, religion returned to the center of global politics. From the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan to the rise of Ronald Reagan, the election of Pope John Paul II, and the growing symbolic weight of Jerusalem, a new era began to take shape. Across East and West alike, political leaders, militants, and regimes started using faith not as private belief, but as a force of history. This documentary traces the moment when religion reentered the geopolitical battlefield and began to reshape alliances, revolutions, and wars. As old Cold War ideologies lost their monopoly, a new political language emerged, one that would transform the Middle East, unsettle the global balance of power, and leave a lasting mark on the decades that followed. How World War II Created Modern Aviation

The history of aviation is a perpetual race. At no other time did more aircraft dominate the skies than during the Second World War. In the battle for supremacy in the skies, aircraft became a destructive weapon. Loaded with bombs and ammunition, they provided fear and terror from the air. It is the gruesome story of kamikaze pilots, ""Stukas"" and fighter planes, but also of ground-breaking technical achievements, such as the invention of the jet engine, which was to revolutionise aviation. In the civilian sector, too. Within a few decades, flying changed from an exclusive pleasure of a few to an almost everyday, mass means of transport. The second part of the documentary traces these developments - from the Second World War to the challenges facing aviation today. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual the original video platform channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
