Apollo 11's Lunar Module Is Still Drifting Above the Moon

Hey guys! We’re now live on Spotify 🎧 On July 21, 1969, 3 astronauts sealed a hatch above the Moon and cut a spacecraft loose. Its name was Eagle. Hours earlier, it had lifted the first humans off the surface of another world. Then it drifted into the dark, and the whole planet looked away. For more than 50 years, everyone believed it crashed. But in 2021, one man ran a computer simulation to find the crash site. The crash never came. His numbers showed Eagle could still be circling the Moon today, 60 to 70 miles up, once every 2 hours. It is a theory. Nobody has confirmed it yet. Tonight, we chase that ghost. We will fight the Moon's lumpy gravity. We will meet a lost spacecraft that radar found again after 7 years. And we will face one big question. Is Eagle still up there, right now? Quick thing first. Our videos are on Spotify too, earlier and with no ads. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Long before Paul Newman and Robert Redford immortalized them on screen, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid captivated Americans from coast to coast. In an era in which cold-blooded killers such as Jesse James and the Younger Brothers terrorized the American West, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid and their Wild Bunch gang took a smart and methodical approach to bank and train robbery. In the 1890s, their thrilling exploits — robbing banks and trains and then seemingly vanishing into thin air — became front-page news and the basis of rumor and myth, captivating Americans from coast to coast. But who were Robert Leroy Parker and Harry Alonzo Longabaugh? What really happened after they formed the Wild Bunch gang? And how did they manage to pull off some of the most spectacular holdups in western history while eluding the Pinkertons, the nation’s largest and most feared private detective force? Separating fact from fiction, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID explores the last pair of outlaws to flee on horseback into the setting sun of a disappearing West. © 2014 WGBH Educational

NYC's Great White Hurricane vs Snowzilla, Then Ebola Hits Zaire Twice

Two places. Two eras. The same nightmare returns. Disaster De Ja Vu traces how history repeats when nature and viruses strike back. From New York’s 1888 Great White Hurricane to 2016’s Snowzilla, see how a city learned to bury its wires, muster an “Army of the Shovel,” and mobilize subways and National Guard while whiteouts shut down Wall Street and stranded trains. Then the story pivots to Zaire, where a mysterious killer in Yambuku (1976) and later Kikwit (1995) turns hospitals and funerals into flashpoints. A broken vial on arrival, a worm-like virus under the microscope, and one quiet detail inside a mission hospital change everything. What decisions saved lives, and which practices fueled catastrophe? Which warnings mattered, and which came too late? Follow the clues, the hard lessons, and the resilience that emerged on both sides of the world. Watch to uncover the turning points we only hint at here—and why they still matter today. Watch now and see what history tried to teach us before it happened again.

How Long a Round Trip to Pluto Would Actually Take — And Why the Answer Is Brutal

Hey guys! We’re now live on Spotify 🎧 Pluto sits about 3.7 billion miles from the Sun. The fastest spacecraft we ever launched needed 9 and a half years to get there. And it never stopped. It flew past at more than 30,000 miles per hour. It snapped its photos. Then it was gone. So what happens if you want to go there, land, and come back home? The answer is brutal. With the rockets we have today, the cheapest road takes about 45 years. One way. Tonight, we build that trip piece by piece. We will swing past Jupiter for a free push. We will pack food, water, and air for a journey longer than most careers. We will face invisible radiation, a Sun that shrinks into a bright star, and a frozen world near 400 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. Then we will try to come home. 🎧 Our videos are on Spotify too.
