Such plants became a priority target for Allied bombers and so on 4th April 1944, an American reconnaissance aircraft took aerial photographs of the plant and its surroundings for the first time. By chance they captured the horrors of nearby Auschwitz - the gas chamber and Crematorium I, the infamous execution 'wall', the guard towers and security fencing and row after row of barrack like huts where the prisoners lived. Auschwitz From The Air contains an exclusive interview with a surviving escapee of Auschwitz. By combining the emotional memories of those who experienced the camp and an almost forensic analysis of the shocking process of genocide, Auschwitz From The Air will evoke details of the horror of Europe's darkest hour in a uniquely compelling way. The film raises some uncomfortable questions - if Allied aircraft could photograph the concentration camps in detail, why did they not destroy them? The Secret Diary Of The Holocaust tells the extraordinary tale of a 14-year-old Polish girl, Rutka Laskier, who was murdered at Auschwitz in 1943. In 2005, the school notebook in which Rutka recorded her last months in the ghetto of Bedzin was made public, six decades after she hid it under the floorboards of her home there. Rutka was immediately dubbed the 'Polish Anne Frank'. In her diary, Rutka wrote about her life in the ghetto in 1943, detailing not just the Nazi atrocities, physical hardship and hunger, but also how she was developing as a young woman. She also tells how she made a daring escape from one of the early 'aktions', Nazi round-ups of Jews for transportation. The documentary will unravel Rutka's story through the eyes of her half-sister, Israeli academic Zahava Scherz, on a journey to Poland in search of the sister she never knew. Reinventing The Royals: Princes William & Harry | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

Written and presented by Steve Hewlett, the series is told principally through the first-hand testimony of those who were there: ex-royal advisors, editors, photographers, journalists, royal correspondents - and an enormously rich archive. This episode looks at how the experience of growing up in the media spotlight has affected Princes William and Harry, and their attitudes to the press and media. Seismic events like the phone-hacking scandal - which started with the royal princes - and the impact of the Leveson Inquiry that followed have tipped the balance of power in their favour. The relationship between the royal family and the BBC is also examined, the so-called 'Queengate' fiasco - where a trailer for a royal documentary was cut as if to show the Queen storming out of a photo session with the American photographer Annie Leibowitz. The programme recounts how, in the aftermath, another still-unseen documentary celebrating the life of Princess Diana was shelved by the corporation. The programme also looks at the question of succession. For Prince Charles it is now not so much his private life as

Written and presented by Steve Hewlett, the series is told principally through the first-hand testimony of those who were there: ex-royal advisors, editors, photographers, journalists, royal correspondents - and an enormously rich archive. This episode examines how, after the tragic death of Princess Diana, Prince Charles hired a new type of royal press advisor in the form of spin doctor Mark Bolland. Then director of the Press Complaints Commission, Bolland got to work rebuilding Prince Charles's public image. His main challenge was to create a degree of public acceptance for the by now non-negotiable Camilla Parker Bowles, but his controversial methods were not popular amongst other royals and courtiers. The British Royal Family is a global institution, admired and celebrated around the world and currently enjoying a revival in popular opinion. From the pomp and pageantry of the Cambridges' fairytale wedding, through to the birth of Prince George, the announcement of another royal baby, and most recently, the success of Prince Harrys Invictus Games, there is a new generation of Royals on show. Unlike all their predecessors the young Royals
