Sharks: Masters of the Ocean | Free Documentary

Sharks: Masters of the Ocean | Ocean Documentary This documentary features sharks in a different light as explained by the researcher known for his unconventional views - Shark Behaviorist Erich Ritter. Ritter's approach to shark research involved close encounters and interactions, sometimes challenging traditional views on shark behavior and safety. He founded SharkSchool in 1996, emphasizing education and safe human-shark interactions. He argued against the common theories that sharks mistake humans for seals or are attracted by blood, and he developed ADORE-SANE, a framework for guiding human-shark interactions. Erich Ritter was the victim of a bull shark attack in the Bahamas in 2002 while filming for Discovery Channel's Shark Week. The incident, where a bull shark bit his calf, was captured on camera. Ritter survived the attack, which resulted in the loss of part of his left calf and significant blood loss, but continued his work with sharks. Erich Ritter died, aged 61, in August 2020, shortly after this documentary was completed, of a heart condition. His work and vision remain. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing

In this marathon of Natural Kingdom, the survival of North America's wild Mustangs and the crucial role of beavers in shaping ecosystems are explored. The wild Mustang, once a symbol of freedom and a vital part of frontier life, is now on the brink of extinction due to human expansion and changing environments. Archaeological discoveries in Alberta provide evidence that wild horses were hunted by early humans, contributing to their disappearance from the continent. Reintroduced by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century, Mustangs continue to play a role in the culture of the Great Plains, though only a few small herds remain today. The marathon also delves into the fascinating world of beavers, known for their remarkable ability to build intricate dams that shape landscapes and support diverse ecosystems. While beavers have thrived in the northern hemisphere for millions of years, their introduction to places like Argentina has led to unintended environmental consequences. The show also highlights the ongoing conservation efforts to protect species like wolves and the delicate balance they maintain in wild ecosystems. Through stunning wildlife footage and

The Truth Behind the Roman Army's Massacre at Teutoburg Forest

The Battle of Teutoburg forest is a story of betrayal, of one man’s vehement desire to liberate his people from Roman rule and the brutal, bloody lengths he would go to achieve it. Tristan Hughes heads to Germany to investigate how these German 'barbarians' beat one of history’s most powerful and well trained armies. With contemporary writing and expert historians on hand he walks in the footsteps of what's now remembered as the Varian disaster. In the early first century the Romans saw Germania as a land of forests and swamps full of backwards people, a place easy for them to conquer and control for their growing empire. German tribes were paying taxes, giving tributes and sending their high born sons to Rome, it was all going so well…but within this flourishing empire was a growing resentment of ruthless Roman rule. In early 9AD Roman forces led by Roman General Publius Quinctillius Varus crossed into the area of Germania run by the Cherusci tribe. Luckily for them they had a high profile Cherusci on their side who had been educated
